The Airstream Basecamp will feature the Truma Combi as its combination water heater and forced-air furnace appliance for 2017.
“We needed systems on the Basecamp to be robust, reliable, efficient and provide an Airstream level of comfort,” noted Bryan Melton, general manager of travel trailers for Airstream, in a press release. “The Truma Combi does just that. The Combi’s small footprint and combined furnace and hot water system leave room for outdoor enthusiasts to pack their gear and enjoy the comforts of home.”
“We worked very closely with the Airstream development team on this system, to understand their expectations. The Combi’s efficiency on propane mean longer stays in the outdoors, while the near silent operation of the furnace ensure a restful sleep,” added Mark Howlett, senior vice president for business development with Truma.
“The small trailer market is where Truma grew up in Europe, and we are happy to partner with Airstream and their iconic brand in North America,” added Gerhard Hundsberger, president and CEO of Truma North America. “We believe they have found a niche in the market with the Basecam
