The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association’s (RVIA) Nominating Committee has selected 17 candidates who will be vying for nine seats on the board of directors during the association’s August elections, according to the latest issue of RVIA Today:
• Conversion Vehicle Seat: Running for one seat are Vern Kauffman, president of L.A. West, Inc., (incumbent) and Don Waldoch, president of Waldoch Craft (3-year term)
• Motorhome Category: Running for one seat are Chris Braun, senior vice president of Fleetwood Enterprises Inc.’s RV Group, and DeWayne Creighton, president of Dynamax Corp. (3-year term)
• Towables Category: Six candidates running for four seats include Ron Doyle, president of Western Recreational Vehicles Inc. (incumbent); Doug Gaeddert, general manager of Forest River Inc.’s Cedar Creek Division (incumbent); Dan Shea, president of Gulf Stream Coach Inc.’s towable division (incumbent); Jeffery Miller, president of Carriage, Inc.; Bryan Tillett, president of Peterson Industries Inc.; and Don Walter, president & CEO of Starcraft RV Inc. (3-year terms)
• Supplier Category: Four candidates running for two seats include Carl Pfalzgraf, executive vice president for Atwood Mobile Products (incumbent); Garry Enyart, director, RV Business of Cummins Inc. (incumbent); Jason Lippert, president of Lippert Components Inc.; and John Regan, CEO of Fabric Services (3-year terms)
• At-Large Seat: Running for one seat are Art Wyatt, vice president of sales for Dometic Corp.; Dave Lane, president of TCL Sales & Distribution; and John Juliano, president of Al-Ko Kober (3-year term)
The official representatives from RVIA member companies will elect candidates in each category to serve on the board of directors. Election ballots are scheduled to be mailed from RVIA’s Reston, Va., offices in early August and must be returned to RVIA by August 27 for the final tally.
All terms begin Oct. 1, 2005.
