Recreation by Design (RBD) will be debuting its new fifth-wheel line called WestWyn, at the 2026 Elkhart RV Open House.
According to the company, while the industry has been gravitating to either entry level or extremely high-end fifth-wheels RBD is offering its dealer base a mid-profile fifth-wheel that incorporates quality but also providing the same manufacturing practices from its Baypoint Destination Trailers.
“As our Baypoint dealer base has been increasing over the past several years,” stated Sebern Combs, sales manager, “they have been asking us when we are going to offer them a fifth-wheel
focused on the continuing growth of our Baypoint Destination Trailers.
“We introduced our High End Baypoint Signature Series last year — we actually debuted it at last year’s Open House event. But we wanted to wait until this year to debut the WestWyn Fifth Wheel line,” he said.
The company stated that it will have four mid-profile WestWyn models ranging between 37 to 42 feet and it welcomes dealer input on its products because they form the front line of sales.
WestWyn interiors and exteriors will have a sleek, contemporary look. It will be laminate construction walls and floors to keep weight down. Windows will be modern square with dark tinting, a hydraulic auto leveling system, mag wheels, and a Gen-Y Fifth Wheel Pin Box are just a few standard features. Frames are constructed in house with USA Made Steel.
2027 BayPoint Destination Trailers
The 2027 Baypoint Destination Trailers have continued success over the past four years with its modern, contemporary designs both in the interior and on the exterior.
“We want to offer both unique models and several price point units with our lineup,” stated Combs. “After working RV shows with our dealers the past several years, we find that many consumers today are wanting something that no one has in their parks – in essence, a feeling that their Baypoint was built specifically for them. It comes with great gratitude when we assist our dealers with their shows, it’s common that they will sell Baypoint on opening day.
“It is also a great honor that our Signature Series model BP-388RKSS received RVBusiness Magazines ‘Top RV Debut’ Prestigious Award at the 2025 Open House Show,” he added.
The company stated that its goal is not to be the best without building the best, and it will continue to grow by listening to its customers, while incorporating as much quality into every unit as possible.
The Baypoint will have several new Floorplans to debut at this year’s Elkhart RV Open House. It will have new loft models for the Baypoint, and the Baypoint Signature Series. The 37-foot Baypoint Loft model is built for size restricted lots in campgrounds, a common issue in many parks across America and Canada.
