A 40-foot model year 2002 Newmar Mountain Aire diesel pusher motorhome was stolen from Newmar Corp.’s property in Nappanee, Ind., sometime last weekend (Aug. 18-19), according to the company.
The unit is on a Freightliner chassis and has a charcoal exterior and burgundy interior.
It was displayed at rallies earlier this summer and was photographed for use in company brochures. Newmar spokeswoman Kathy Mikel said she did not know whether the missing unit was awaiting delivery to a Newmar dealer for retail sale.
Newmar typically operates on a “build-to-order” basis, only, she added.
The motorhome has Newmar serial number 9777 and its VIN (vehicle identification number) is 4UZAAHCY61CJ34069.
Anyone with information about the location of the missing motorhome should call Chris Gillam at Newmar at 219 773 7791 or e-mail at [email protected]
