Police have charged two men following break-ins to camper trailers at a Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, dealership.
The Saskatoon Star Phoenix reported that on the evening of May 22, police were around Barr Place with they noticed two men in a suspicions parked car, according to a Saskatoon Police Service news release.
When police realized the men had given them false names, they searched the car, finding stolen televisions, break and enter tools and imitation handguns. The televisions had been stolen from camper trailers in a dealership lot in the 500 block of Brand Place, police said.
The same dealership had been the victim of similar break and enters on March 12. Officers found footprints and a bank card believed to have been left behind by the suspect.
Ron Gitlin, general manager for Sherwood RV, which is on that block, said thieves have been targeting all of the RV dealerships in the city recently. His business has been hit on more than one occasion, he said.
