Escapees RV Club is putting the final touches on its 57th Escapade, slated for March 19-24 at the Pima County Fairgrounds in Tucson, Ariz. Escapees will also be celebrating the 90th birthday of its founder Kay Peterson.
According to a press release, numerous acts have been booked, including headliners Native Spirit and Woodie and the Longboards, in addition to a variety of interactive events. The event will also offer attendees more than 80 educational seminars, classes and workshops.
Native Spirit, which has performed throughout Europe, Central America and North America, shares the culture and dances of Native America through rhythmic sounds and dance. Woodie and the Longboards is the No. 1 rated tribute act in the nation for the Beach Boys, while also covering a variety of hit music from the 50s to the 80s.
Attendees are also encouraged to take part in the “Star Party,” hosted by astronomy educator and Escapees member Gary Tomlinson, and Johnny Goodrum will perform on the final evening of the Escapade.
