Walk into Elkhart, Ind.-based Titan Sales and Consulting and you’ll notice attractive furniture and decor. But step into President Tobin Goode’s office and another thing is striking. Make that, a lack of things.

The Elkhart Truth reported that except for one painting, his office walls are entirely bare. There’s a framed photo of retired Green Bay Packers quarterback Brett Favre, but it sits on a counter, propped against a wall, waiting to be hung.

“Everybody comes in and teases me every day about it,” Goode said with a laugh. “We still have boxes that we moved from our old building to here that still aren’t even unpacked yet. I haven’t had time. Every moment of every day is ‘How do we get better? How do we do more for our customers?’”

No sense in unpacking those boxes now. The growing company, like many small Elkhart area firms riding the recreational vehicle industry’s resurgence, plans to build a new facility, hoping to break ground before the end of the year, southwest of C.R. 6 and C.R. 17, on newly built Challenger Drive in the Elkhart East industrial park.

The new building will contain 70,000 square feet, nearly doubling the 25,000 feet Titan has at its current location.

Titan Sales and Consulting distributes adhesives and tapes and cuts larger logs of foam and high-bond tapes down into smaller rolls for customers. RV makers comprise about 55 %of its business, while 25% comes from cargo trailers, and the rest from miscellaneous sources, including RV suppliers.
