Affinity Group Inc. (AGI) announced today (Nov. 18) the promotion of Terry Thompson to vice president/RV advertising sales.
“The promotion recognizes and expands the leadership role Terry has played for several years in the success of the RV publications as national sales director,” said Bill Estes, vice president/publisher, consumer and trade publications for AGI.
As national sales director, Thompson supervised ad sales in AGI’s family of publications including Trailer Life, MotorHome, RV Business, Highways, Coast to Coast and RV View. He also oversaw ad sales for the Trailer Life and Woodall’s Buyers Guides, RV.net, Traffic Builders and the national ad sections of the TL and Woodall’s Campground Directories.
“Terry is well known among his co-workers for his strong work ethic, tireless energy in pursuit of additional revenue, and his creativity, which has sparked many new ideas within his area and throughout the company,” said Estes. “He also has a well-deserved reputation for speaking his mind in a collaborative, constructive way that has helped improve many areas within AGI.”
A graduate of the University of Washington and a veteran of 20 years as an officer in the U.S. Army National Guard, Terry joined the staff of Coast to Coast in 1988, and was promoted to advertising director of AGI’s RV magazine group in 1997.
