Ventura, Calif.-based Affinity Group Inc. (AGI) reported an increase in revenues and net income for the company’s third quarter, ended Sept. 30.
AGI, parent of Camping World Inc., Coast to Coast Resorts, Ehlert Publishing Group Inc. and TL Enterprises, which publishes RV Business and RVBUSINESS.com, increased net sales 6.8% to $117.6 million for the third quarter vs. $110 million during the same period last year.
Net income in the third quarter rose to $1.9 million compared with $1.2 million for the same period in 2003.
Affinity Group reported that third-quarter sales and profits were boosted by the acquisition of three publications from Poole Publications Inc., Carson City, Calif., and a 13.9% increase in Camping World merchandise sales.
For the first nine months of 2004, Affinity Group posted revenues of $346.5 million, representing an 8.9% increase over the $318 million posted in the same period last year.
Net income for the nine months was $7.1 million compared to $9.9 million last year.
