Airstream, the legendary manufacturer of premium recreational vehicles, and Pininfarina, the Italian automotive design house, announced a design partnership aimed at shaping the future of Airstream’s next century. On Saturday, Aug. 15, Airstream President and CEO Bob Wheeler and Pininfarina CEO Paolo Dellachà joined together to reveal the partnership at the Pininfarina Duetto Day Cocktail Reception hosted at Osteria al Mare during Monterey Car Week.
The two companies, each with 95-year histories, share commitments to innovation, timeless design and craftsmanship. The reception marked the start of the collaboration, with Wheeler and Dellachà addressing media, industry leaders and guests in formal remarks.
As Airstream approaches its 100th anniversary in 2031, the partnership begins a new chapter for the leading recreational vehicle manufacturer. Pininfarina and Airstream plan to explore how to translate Airstream’s design language into a new luxury experience while preserving the brand’s identity as a symbol of craftsmanship, curiosity and the freedom to explore. Wheeler and Dellachà signaled that more information would be available in the coming months.
