unnamedAirstream Inc. received two Quality Circle Awards in the travel trailer and motorized RV segments during a special presentation by the National RV Dealers Association (RVDA) on Dec. 1,  just prior to the opening of the National RV Trade Show in Louisville, Ky.

Recognized as only one of two manufacturers to receive the award for both product categories, this honor follows a year of several product launches expanding the Airstream brand with the 2015 Interstate Grand Tour Class B motorhome and the completely redesigned 2015 Classic travel trailer.

“After a busy 2014, it is gratifying to receive not one, but two awards from a respected association like RVDA,” said Airstream CEO and President Bob Wheeler in a press release. “One of our key strategic initiatives here at Airstream is to enhance the customer experience through our dealers. As a result, we have implemented several tools to serve our dealers better in the hopes it will enhance the customer experience. The recognition from our dealers in getting these awards shows me we are on the right path.”

The award is given to brands/manufacturers who scored 80% or above in overall dealer satisfaction in the association’s 21st Annual Dealer Satisfaction Index (DSI) survey.

Airstream has recently announced a major plant expansion at their travel trailer factory in Jackson Center, Ohio. This expansion comes at the heels of an expansion earlier in the year to the touring coach factory which doubled the production capacity of the number one selling Class B van model in the United States, the Airstream Interstate. In addition, major renovations have also been completed to Airstream’s call center where dealers and retail customers alike call Airstream for technical support.

“Airstream is making investments in all areas of the company here in Jackson Center,” said Wheeler. “The production expansion will help reduce lead times for our dealers and provide us with added tools and space to continue to produce industry-leading, quality Airstreams. In addition, the renovation of our service facility shows our commitment to enhancing the customer experience for both our dealers and ‘Streamers’ alike.”
