Airstream Inc. provided service to its scheduled customers today (May 17) despite a fire Saturday afternoon (May 15) that damaged its Service Center in Jackson Center, Ohio, the company reports.
There were no injuries and all losses are insured, according to officials with the Thor Industries Inc. subsidiary.
The fire did not affect Airstream’s other production or administrative facilities.
Several employees worked over the weekend to restore power, water and all systems to the parts and service operation offices, which were open for business today.
Airstream will continue providing service to its regularly scheduled customers using other facilities on its campus in West Central Ohio. Service shop cleanup and restoration is under way and Airstream anticipates being able to resume partial shop operation “within a matter of days.
“All Airstream associates’ employment is secure and everyone at the company will be working a typical schedule,” a company statement said.
