Wichita, Kan.-based Airxcel Inc. announced it is moving its Elkhart, Ind., operations into a facility nearly four times the size of its current operation on the south side of the city, as well as investing in additional delivery vehicles
“As demand for our products continues to increase, it is important for Airxcel to boost its OEM support,” said Trent Kauffman, Airxcel’s vice president of OEM sales, in a press release. “We have increased our inventory and shipping capacities through the acquisition of additional delivery trucks to support existing customers and position us for growth.”
The facility will house employees from operations, sales, order entry, tech services and field technicians. It also allows for increased testing facilities, technical services, and a showroom for product displays.
“We’re excited to support our customers with increased service levels and be able to showcase our products,” Kauffman said. “We can host customers on a moment’s notice to show them new products and discuss conceptual ideas.”
Mel Adams, Airxcel CEO, noted, “The investment in expanding our Elkhart operations demonstrates our commitment to customers, and shows dedication by Airxcel and our new financial partner, One Rock Capital Partners, to grow the overall business in this marketplace.”
Airxcel will begin shipping to customers from the new location in December.
