Airxcel Inc., manufacturer of several appliances for RVs, reported a net sales increase of 23.5% to $50 million in the second quarter ending June 30, the company reported in a Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC) document.
For the six months, the Wichita, Kan.-based supplier’s net sales increased 17.6% to $94.0 million compared to the same six months of 2003.
Gross profit increased 30.7% to $9.8 million in the quarter, and increased 22.7% to $18.9 million year-to-date.
The increase was principally due to the increased sales volume, according to the company.
Airxcel is the parent of Suburban Manufacturing Co., producer of heating, water heating and cooking appliances for RVs; Instafreeze Inc., a designer and manufacturer of low-voltage compressor refrigerators for the RV industry; RV Products, maker of air conditioners; and Marvair, which makes HVAC systems for manufactured housing.
