Multilocation Upstate New York dealership Alpin Haus recently opened a new 67,000-square-foot indoor RV showroom, repair shop and Camping World accessories store in the community of Florida, N.Y., according to the Times-Union of Albany, N.Y.
The new facility went into operation on May 21 but a grand opening is scheduled for next Thursday (June 12), the newspaper reported.
With the new facility, Alpin Haus no longer sells RVs from its nearby Amsterdam, N.Y. location. However, it continues to sell RVs from its Clifton Park and Wilton, N.Y., locations.
Alpin Haus also retails winter sports equipment, boats, pools and spas.
The new showroom and Camping World store are along Route 5S near New York State Thruway (I-90) Exit 27.
As General Manager Andy Heck said, “We really wanted to be on the interstate for the RV business, that’s really important for continued growth.”
The Camping World retail store chain, based in Bowling Green, Ky., is a unit of Affinity Group Inc., which also is the parent of TL Enterprises Inc., publisher of RV Business and RVBUSINESS.COM.
Camping World operates 31 retail stores and a national catalog call center, but the store at the Alpin Haus location is its first in Upstate New York.
A 32nd Camping World store will open later this summer at Hart City RV, a dealership in Elkhart, Ind.
