Alpin Haus, a major Upstate New York RV, boat and motorsports dealer, has added a third location in Clifton Park, N.Y., a suburb located between Albany and Saratoga Springs, N.Y.
Alpin Haus, a 38 year-old dealership which also has locations in Amsterdam and Wilton, N.Y., now is operating from the former Freedom RV Outlet site in Clifton Park.
The improving retail market provides an explanation for the decision to expand. Alpin Haus owner Andy Heck told the Times-Union of Albany that the dealership’s sales are up between 10% and 20% over last year.
“Since the first of January, and through February and March, we’ve been doing a lot better than we did last year,” Heck told the newspaper. “It’s a combination of the economy and the effects of Sept. 11. People don’t want to fly, but there is more of an emphasis on vacationing with family.”
Alpin Haus stocks RV brands built by Coachmen, Fleetwood, Monaco, Thor, Winnebago, Lance, Trail-Lite, Sunline and Timberland and park models by Damon’s Breckenridge subsidiary.
It also inventories boats, personal watercraft, snowmobiles, all-terrain vehicles, skis and snowboards.
