The AmeriGO RV Club is sponsoring a dog park to accommodate pets at the 62nd Annual California RV Show running today through Oct. 19 at the Fairplex in Pomona. The dog park features a shaded turf area and fresh water to benefit pets traveling with their RV owners.
According to a press release, AmeriGO is an organization that represents a community of RV enthusiasts who share a love for traveling. Two popular bloggers and AmeriGO RV Club members, Barry and Monique Zander, will man the AmeriGO booth at the show. There will also be a drawing for a free iPad and anyone who enters the contest at the AmeriGO booth will receive a free annual membership to the AmeriGO RV Club.
The Zanders’ sold their home in 2006 and replaced it with a 28-foot travel trailer that they felt would be the best way to see North America. Seven years and 8,000 miles later the Zanders are now considered experts in RV travel and have traveled to 49 states, seven provinces and Mexico.
The couple will present a seminar titled “Tips for New RVers” today (Oct. 10) at 4:30 p.m providing useful information for both amateur and experienced RVers on great travel destinations and tips for enjoying the RV lifestyle to the fullest.
Barry Zander, a former newspaper editor, has been a columnist and blog writer for travel-related publications and continues to promote the couple’s travels through writing and photos with his wife.
This year’s show will cover 800,000 square feet of exhibit space, well over the 665,000 square feet at the 2013 event. More than 1,200 RVs will be on display, including 150 RVs available for test drives by interested consumers.
