The idea of tighter restrictions on parking RVs in residential areas caused a furor in Egan, Minn., a few years ago, and the issue is expected to arise again, according to the Sun Current newspaper.
Officials in the Minneapolis-St. Paul metro area community are considering requiring RV owners to park their rigs in their driveways or behind the front edge of their homes or garages.
One issue Egan officials will consider is whether to allow homeowners to park RVs on their lawns or a hard surface.
Currently, RV owners in Egan are not allowed to park their rig within 15 feet of the street or within the property’s setback for more than 72 hours, the newspaper reported.
