Longtime retailer Ardell Brown RV has relocated to a new and larger store in suburban Salt Lake City, Utah.
The new facility opened in late summer and sits on a 15-acre site in Draper, about a mile south of its former location.
“We outgrew our former location,” said Mickey Hannon, sales manager. The new store features a 10,000-square-foot showroom – twice the size of its old showroom – and 22 service bays.
Ardell Brown RV, a member of the FreedomRoads LLC dealer network, ranks among the top 10 dealers of several popular brands. The dealership ranks No. 6 in North America in unit sales of Holiday Rambler towables and No. 8 in North America for both Airstream and Jayco, Hannon said. The company also carries Weekend Warrior and Itasca products.
Besides being the state’s largest RV dealership, Ardell Brown RV also markets to all surrounding states and has an active business development center on its Internet site, which ranked No. 1 among all other FreedomRoads dealerships, Hannon added.
The dealership has a staff of six master certified service technicians, two regular technicians and two certified technicians in its collision repair department. The company also will open a paint booth, making it the only RV dealer in the state to offer painting services.
Bob Terry and Ardell Brown founded the dealership in 1970. Chicago area-based FreedomRoads bought the firm from Blaine Jensen RV in Kaysville three years ago.
FreedomRoads also owns the 40,000-square-foot Camping World facility located next door to Ardell Brown.
