ARI Network Services Inc. has distributed upgraded versions of its EMPARTviewer and TradeRoute software to over 1,000 RV dealers, the Milwaukee-based company announced.

ARI also distributed its EMPARTviewer Version 4.2 and TradeRoute RV Version 2.2 last month to RV manufacturers Coachmen Industries Inc., Damon Corp., Fleetwood Enterprises Inc., and Newmar Corp. and to chassis supplier Workhorse Custom Chassis LLC.

EMPARTviewer allows dealers to search through an electronic version of a manufacturer’s parts catalog, review prices, illustrations and service bulletins. EMPARTviewer can also be used in conjunction with the TradeRoute software to submit purchase orders and warranty claims.

Version 4.2 allows for greater parts selection, the ability to connect attachments to parts lists, improved printing capability and greater flexibility in managing data.

In addition to allowing dealers to place orders and submit warranty claims, TradeRoute allows dealers to check the availability of parts and to verify orders or warranty claim status without typing-in all the information a second time.

TradeRoute Version 2.2 allows “manufacturer-specific customizations” and is faster at updating information.

“Having a common platform for the industry with the ability for each manufacturer to handle some transactions in a specific manner has many advantages for manufacturers, dealers and their customers,” said Jim Johnson, vice president of customer service for Damon. “It makes the industry’s e-commerce efforts much more efficient and cost effective and the enhancements help the industry to do a much more timely job of meeting customer needs and improving the convenience of RV service in general.”

“Nearly one-third of the RV dealers in the U.S. (can now) communicate with multiple manufacturers through a single system,” added John Cola, director of information systems for Fleetwood.
