A host of educational opportunities will highlight this year’s National Association of RV Parks & Campgrounds (ARVC) 34th Annual ARVC Convention & Expo, Nov. 1-4 at the Disneyland Hotel & Convention Center, Anaheim, Calif.

“This is a terrific opportunity to get together with other members of the industry and to learn from others,” said Linda Profaizer, ARVC Senior vice president/COO.

Author T. Scott Gross will be the speaker during the opening luncheon and general session describing his “Positively Outrageous Service (POS)” approach. His focus is customer attention and building customer loyalty through practical ideas.

Other speakers will include David Humphreys, president of the Recreation Vehicle Industry Association (RVIA), Mike Molino, president of the Recreation Vehicle Dealers Association (RVDA), W.R. “Bill” Garpow, executive director of Recreational Park Trailer Industry Association (RPTIA), as well as David Gorin, president of Falls Church, Va.-based ARVC.

In addition, educational seminars will be held throughout the convention on such topics as using recreation programs to market your park; rules and regulations – legal responsibilities and working with workampers.

Four three-hour roundtable meetings also will be scheduled during the con/expo. The sessions will focus on specific issues and will be moderated by an expert in the field. The gatherings are titled: Membership Park Roundtable; Multiple Park Owner Roundtable; Developers/Investors Roundtable and Concessionaires Roundtable.

The Camping Industry Expo will be open Nov. 3 and 4, at the Disneyland Hotel and Convention Center.
