The National Association of RV Parks & Campgrounds (ARVC) announced that it negotiated an exclusive agreement with Swank Motion Pictures that sharply reduces motion picture licensing fees for ARVC members.
According to a press release, association members can now obtain significant discounts on annual or semiannual licenses for all Walt Disney, Lionsgate, Touchstone Pictures, Hollywood Pictures and Summit Entertainment movie titles as well as one-time screening public performance licenses for all studio titles.
Through Swank, campgrounds have a great selection of hundreds of family friendly movies to choose from, including classics such as “Cinderella,” 2014’s blockbuster hit “Frozen,” or the action-packed “The Avengers.”
Movie screenings add to the amenities provided by campgrounds, allow for alternate entertainment during inclement weather, and enhance the guests’ experiencing while registering, eating or shopping at on-site facilities. The license also enables campgrounds to continuously play movies from the studios on televisions or LCD screens in public areas of the campground.
When ARVC members participate in the Swank Motion Pictures license, they will have an account manager that can offer many benefits such as promotional assistance, movie selection guidance and tips for a successful movie program.
U.S. copyright laws require private park operators to obtain the necessary licenses for any movies they show their guests in clubhouses, outdoor “under the stars” or other communal settings, regardless of whether they charge admission.
