Member parks of the National Association of RV Parks & Campgrounds (ARVC) want their dormant magazine – Outdoor Hospitality – back. But they want to breathe new life into the glossy member publication — shelved earlier this year — with certain limitations.
During its business meeting in Las Vegas this spring, the ARVC Board of Directors gave approval to President Linda Profaizer putting together a budget and business plan to reinstate the magazine. ARVC Chairman Randy Packard said the board hopes to roll out the magazine in time for ARVC’s November convention. In other business, the board:
– Announced it would donate $75,000 this year to the Go RVing ad campaign.
– Agreed to not seek the ANSI Secretariat at this time.
– Approved language for the federal government’s proposed new “One Stop” web portal for recreation planning.
– Announced nominees for ARVC board seats for election in November.
