Private parks affiliated with the National Association of RV Parks & Campgrounds (ARVC) now have the option of providing instant online reservations for their guests.
The new website feature, which went live earlier this month, is available to ARVC members for a fee through Friend Communications of Anaheim, Calif., according to ARVC’ President and CEO Linda Profaizer.
ARVC-member campgrounds and RV parks already receive Internet exposure through the association’s website, www.gocampingamerica.com. And although many of ARVC’s 3,700 affiliated parks have websites of their own, most do not have the ability to process reservations instantly online. That is likely to change soon as campground operators sign up for Friend Communications’ instant online reservations service.
Friend Communications’ service enables campground operators to provide instant online reservations without having to invest in expensive software. Campsite inventory also remains under the control of the campground operator.
California-based Friend Communications, led by former Fleetwood Enterprises Inc. executives, currently provides similar online reservations services to the Texas Association of Campground Owners (TACO) and the California Travel Parks Associations (CTPA).
