Linda Profaizer, president and CEO of the National Association of RV Parks & Campgrounds (ARVC), has extended her tenure with the association for an additional three years.
Profaizer joined ARVC, based in Falls Church, Va., in 2000 as executive vice president of marketing and accepted her current position in 2001.
According to a press release, Profaizer has been a principal figure in the outdoor hospitality industry while strengthening ties with other related associations such as RVIA and RVDA in an effort to deliver a unified message to the camping public.
Her accomplishments include building interest in and co-sponsoring the groundbreaking survey The American Camper: Profiles and Perspectives, driving redevelopment of the camping consumer website GoCampingAmerica.com and guiding the establishment of the ARVC Foundation Disaster Relief Fund.
Working on behalf of ARVC’s RV park and campground members, Profaizer also created a partnership with other industry associations on the Go RVing promotional campaign and continues to foster a strong alliance among state-affiliated associations.
“We are fortunate to have her and are delighted that she has renewed her commitment to making ARVC the best it can possibly be in representing RV parks and campgrounds nationwide”, said Max Gibbs, ARVC chairman.
“This industry is part of my life. I’m honored that our board and members have placed so much trust and confidence in me,” said Profaizer, who has been involved in the campground and RV sectors since 1970.
