Allied Specialty Vehicles (ASV) announced that Kent Tyler has been promoted to vice president of sales and marketing–North America for all product lines.

Tyler will report to Marcus Berto, chief commercial officer, and continue to be based in the company’s corporate headquarters in Orlando, Fla. ASV produces motorhomes under its Allied Recreation Vehicle umbrella, including American Coach, Fleetwood RV and Holiday Rambler.

“Kent has a history of success leading and increasing the profitability of ASV companies,” Berto said in a press release. “In this new role, I am confident he will aggressively drive growth of our brands in North America and increase sales revenue at a rate that exceeds our competition.”

In his new role, Tyler will lead corporate sales and marketing, oversee business development and direct execution of the company’s strategic growth plan for increasing market share of all brands in ASV’s vehicle manufacturing portfolio throughout North America. Tyler will continue to oversee ASV’s bus division as he transitions into this new position.

“Our brands are recognized leaders in their respective markets and industries,” Tyler said. “But as ASV continues to grow, we must focus on strategic initiatives that will allow expansion to occur not only through our existing distribution channels, but also through corporate-wide alliances and initiatives.”

Before his promotion, Tyler served as president of ASV’s bus division. Previously, Tyler was president of E-ONE, a manufacturer of fire rescue vehicles. Before joining E-ONE, Tyler spent more than 15 years with Collins Industries, the last five as president of Collins Bus Corporation. Tyler earned a bachelor’s from Oklahoma State University and a master’s from Missouri State University.
