To keep pace with continued demand for Advanced RV’s “customer-centric” Class B motorhomes, the builder has initiated an expansion at its Willoughby, Ohio, campus to grow its production and design capabilities.
Advanced RV reported in its latest newsletter that in the past six months the company has increased its build staff by 50%, and in mid-February will begin production in a new space that’s twice the size of the current facility.
Construction of the new facility is moving forward as the painted ceilings and walls, epoxy floors, and LED lighting are nearing completion. To foster better communication between the design, engineering, accounting, supply and client service teams, Advanced RV is also consolidating office space.
“With a larger, more capable production space and a more collaborative office environment, we’re strengthening our ability to build superb motorhomes and deliver exceptional client service,” the company said.
Even with this growth, Advanced RV will remain a relatively “small, nimble, and innovative company,” building custom Mercedes-Benz Sprinter-based individually. At present, the order backlog stretches to the second quarter of 2016 and the additional space and improved processes are designed to improve on current delivery commitments.
