Who needs tickets, we’ve got an RV!
That’s the attitude of a group of Indiana University men’s basketball team fans who lived in their RVs the last few days outside the Georgia Dome in Atlanta, according to the Indianapolis Star.
The Georgia Dome will be the site of the game tonight (April 1) between Indiana and Maryland for the NCAA men’s basketball championship.
Not all of those traveling to Atlanta in RVs had tickets for tonight’s game or Saturday’s semi-final games, but they went anyway. And some did not plan to pay exorbitant prices to some ticket scalper. They felt, they have the comforts of home in the RV and they could soak-up the “ambiance” at sports bars and other places where fans gather outside the arena, according to the Star.
As one IU fan said, his satellite TV and DVD-equipped motorhome is better equipped than the Grand Hyatt, the headquarters hotel for the Hoosiers.
