Jim Baxter, formerly of Coachmen Industries Inc., recently was named executive vice president of Canada’s Peak Group of Companies, which includes Peak Manufacturing Inc. and Bonair Leisure Products Ltd.
In his new position, Baxter will oversee Peak’s corporate operations through the U.S. and Eastern Canada.
“With Jim’s strong sales and marketing background and his extensive knowledge of all aspects of the RV industry, including market development, we are excited to have him on our team,” said Urban Donlevy, CEO of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan-based Peak.
“Jim shares our vision as well as our passion for consumer satisfaction,” Donlevy continued. “His management skills will be a great asset as we expand sales and manufacturing in the U.S.”
At Coachmen, in Elkhart, Ind., Baxter was a vice president and he served as national sales manager for Coachmen’s Viking Recreational Vehicles LLC subsidiary, which manufacturers folding campers.
Peak builds the Kodiak-brand “B-plus” and Class C motorhomes and Bonair, a 30-year-old company, builds a full line of towable RVs.
