Multi-location dealer Beaudry RV is moving its operations in Mesa, Ariz., to a larger site situated on the Gila River Indian Reservation, according to a report in the Arizona Republic.
The Tucson-based dealership plans to break ground Friday (Sept. 30) on the site near the Santan Freeway. The paper reported that the new facility, which will include a service center and a Camping World accessories store, will open in stages over the next year.
Beaudry CEO Thomas Sylvester said the business is moving from Mesa to the reservation because it can expand from 10 to 73 acres. The new location also will include space for an RV park with 100 to 150 sites.
“We think it is a very attractive location being near Interstate 10, two casinos and other activities they have around there,” Sylvester said.
Beaudry will begin selling RVs on a temporary lot next month. A service building is scheduled to open early next year. The full business, with about 250 jobs, is expected to be running within a year.
Beaudry will take up the last large space in Lone Butte Industrial Park, park manager Esther Manuel said.
