Beaudry RV has expanded its operations in Tucson, Ariz., to include a recently purchased outlet mall adjacent to the existing dealership, according to a report in the Arizona Daily Star.
The RV retailer purchased the facility in May 2004 through Beaudry’s Palo Verde Ventures LLC for $3.3 million. Beaudry said the VF Factory Outlet store and a handful of shops will remain open for about two more years, until their leases run out.
“It was always the ugly building on our back side, and when we saw that it was for sale we took the opportunity,” said Michael Murphy of Beaudry’s legal department. “We had a need for office space once we sold half our dealerships to Chapman.”
Last year, Scottsdale-based Chapman Automotive Group, with 13 dealerships in Arizona and Nevada, bought six of Beaudry’s new-car dealerships.
With the expansion, Beaudry’s operations encompass around 100 acres while also adding approximately 130,000 square feet to house corporate offices and a new indoor showroom.
Beaudry has additional RV retail outlets in Mesa, Ariz., and San Diego, Calif., along with the Beaudry RV Resort and Rally Park in Tucson. The company also is constructing a new facility in Phoenix.
