Bruce Bentz, a principal of Capital RV Center, with locations in Bismarck and Minot, N.D., is the new chairman of the board for the national Recreation Vehicle Dealers Association (RVDA).
Bentz was elected to the association’s top volunteer leadership position on Sept. 24, at its annual meeting, held in conjunction with the RVDA’s International Convention/Expo in Nashville, Tenn. Bentz served on the RVDA Board of Directors and on the Executive Committee as first vice chairman in 2001-02.
“I look forward to advancing our members’ viewpoints on critical issues facing RV dealers,” Bentz said. “RVDA is a great association, making considerable strides as a united voice for RV dealers. On behalf of the RVDA Board of Directors and Board of Delegates, I invite all dealers to get involved with their association.”
Other officers for 2002-2003 are: First Vice Chairman Marty Shea, Madison RV Center, Huntsville, Ala.; Second Vice Chairman David Hoelzer of Lloyd’s I-10 RV Center, Orange, Texas; Treasurer Dell Sanders, J.D. Sanders Inc., Alachua, Fla.; Secretary Tim Wegge, Burlington Camping & Travel, Burlington, Wis.; Past Chairman Craig Jensen, Blaine Jensen & Sons, Kaysville, Utah; and RVDA President Mike Molino.
RVDA’s Board of Delegates also elected At-large Director Jim Shields of Pan-Pacific RV Centers, Inc., French Camp, Calif., to the Board of Directors. At-large director Jeff Pastore, Hartville RV Center in Hartville, Ohio, will serve the second year of a two-year term on the board in 2002-03.
Also serving on the Board of Directors will be: RVDA Education Foundation Chairman Rick Horsey, Parkview RV Center, Smyrna, Del.; RV Assistance Corp. (RVAC) Chairman Dan Pearson, PleasureLand RV Center, St. Cloud, Minn.; and RV Rental Association (RVRA) representative Bert Alanko, MBA Insurance, Scottsdale, Ariz.
