Today (Oct. 15) was a good day for investors in several big name RV company stocks as prices moved higher following better-than-expected earnings reports from three Blue Chips: Citigroup, Johnson & Johnson and General Motors.
Investors in Winnebago Industries Inc., which issued a strong earnings report last week, had the most to cheer about today as the motorhome manufacturer’s shares gained $3.34, or 8%, to close at $46.50. As a result, Winnebago stock now is within shouting distance of its 52-week high of $51.43 a share.
Investors in Thor Industries Inc. also had reason to smile as Thor’s stock gained $1.83 a share, or 6%, to close at $33.99. Thor stock also is creeping back up towards its 52-week high of $37.18.
Meanwhile, Monaco Coach Corp. stock gained $1.60 a share, or 9%, to close today at $19.35. In recent weeks, Monaco stock slid down perilously close to its 52-week low of $15.10 a share, but it has recovered somewhat in the last week or so. Monaco’s 52-week high is $30.70
Motorhome manufacturer Rexhall Industries Inc.’s stock also gained 21 cents, or 6%, today to close at $3.51 and Fleetwood Enterprises Inc. shares gained 26 cents, or 5%, to close today at $6.01.
