LA QUINTA, Calif. – Big Rig Media, a leader in providing high-growth modern marketing solutions to the outdoor hospitality industry, has completed a rebranding campaign and deployed a comprehensive modern marketing platform to assist BoaVida RV Parks and Resorts in introducing Placerville RV Resort and Campground as an independent RV property, formerly Placerville KOA.
BoaVida RV Parks and Resorts owns and operates 18 outdoor hospitality properties throughout the Western U.S. including the highly regarded The Springs at Borrego RV Resort & Golf Course. Its sister company, BoaVida Communities, owns and operates more than 230 manufactured home communities across 34 states.
“We understand the value franchised brands bring to certain operators, but for us, we’ve built a great competency and confidence in operating and marketing a large portfolio of high-performing properties,” said Zach Weiner, principal of BoaVida RV parks and resorts. “As a result, we don’t take full advantage of the programs or tools offered by the franchisor and believe we can redirect ongoing franchise fees to more direct value, such as in continuous resort improvements and more robust modern marketing campaigns,” continued Weiner.
Placerville RV Resort is BoaVida RV Parks and Resort’s second transition to an independent property. In 2021, BoaVida rebranded a franchised property, Willits KOA, to Mendocino Redwoods RV Resort.

Following BoaVida’s acquisition of the property and improvements to the grounds and amenities, Big Rig Media led the rebrand initiatives, which included designing the new property logo and brand guidelines and deploying this throughout every on- and off-property public-facing touchpoint, both physical and digital. On the physical side, the rebranding included monument signage, dozens of on-property signage, park maps, rack cards, apparel, name tags, and guest forms, to name a few.
Digitally, it consisted of building a modern marketing platform which included a new, conversion-built website, rebranding all social media channels and online review directories along with creating the full complement of digital marketing ads and assets to support its aggressive Google, YouTube, Facebook and Instagram media campaigns.
