Rural Hall, N.C., RV dealership Bill Plemmons RV World has tripled its acreage and plans to use the added land to expand his service center, hire more technicians and increase space for events.
Steve Plemmons, CEO of Bill Plemmons RV World, recently purchased about 34 acres under for $375,000, according to the Triad Business Journal. The land, he said, is behind his existing 16-acre dealership in Rural Hall and was a former mobile home park.
Plemmons said he will use the extra land in part to double the size of his service center, a growing division of his business, and hire at least 12 to 15 more service technicians. The company opened a Raleigh location last year. Plemmons has a total of about 75 employees.
The owner said purchase will also allow the company to provide more space for annual events that RV World hosts. Right now, there is only room for about 100 RVs, and he has to turn people away. The new land would mean room for about 400.
