Black Book reported that the average selling price of towables at auction last month edged up about 1/2%, reaching another all-time high at just over $15,000.
Motorized volumes were about the same as the previous month, but their values dipped once again, extending a trend that has been in place for most of the year. The average unit sold at auction was a 2010 model, or eight years old.
Taking a closer look at the markets, we see that the average selling price for motorized units was $44,450, down $1,116 (2.4%) from the previous month. Towables came in at $15,021, up $217 (1.4%) from last month. One year ago the average motorhome sold for $47,723 and the average towable unit brought $12,521.
Auction volume was down across the board as motorized dropped 8% from the previous month and towables fell by 28%.
