Black Book reported that RV auction volume was up across the board as dealers have begun to stock up their lots to take advantage of the influx of buyers.

Motorized values dropped a bit at auction last month, but towables of all types have looked strong for several months.

Taking a closer look at the markets, the average selling price for motorized units was $40,158, down $3,277 (7.5%) from the previous month. Towables came in at $13,035, up $163 (1.2%) from last month. One year ago the average motorhome sold for $45,705 and the average towable unit brought $13,301.

Auction volume was up significantly: 28% for motorized and 24% for towables. The average age of all units was 8-and-a-half years old.
