Editor’s Note: The following is a blog by Boldride.com touting the versatility and performance of Winnebago Industries Inc.’s Class B Travato built on the Ram ProMaster chassis.
Want to know the secret to making a Ram ProMaster desirable? Slap a Winnebago Travato on top of it. This is probably the hottest motorhome on the market.
The 2015 Travato — a Class B motorhome — sits atop a Ram ProMaster chassis with a V6 gas engine that gets an estimated 16-18 mpg on the highway. Now that gas is cheap the Travato is going to be a good choice for retirees to see the U.S.
At the same time, it’s also potentially a family vehicle. Inside it has a corner double Murphy bed that flips out of the way. You could throw a couple younger kids in there— or your pets if you like to travel with them.
This is a ride for the technologically savvy. It has a U-Connect 5.0 Infotainment Center with touch screen, voice command, and steering wheel controls. It features AM/FM radio with CD/DVD player, SiriusXM satellite radio, hands-free Bluetooth, iPod/iPhone audio integration, speed-adjusted audio levels, compass, color rearview camera, and integrated GPS with navigation and turn-by-turn voice guidance.
