When Truma unveils its new product for the North American RV market Dec. 2 at the 52nd Annual National RV Trade Show in Louisville, popular RV bloggers Howard and Linda Payne will be on-site to offer a consumer perspective. According to a press release, the Paynes were among the almost 30 RV owners who participated in a six-month field test for Truma’s new RV product.
The couple lives full-time in their 2006 Keystone Cambridge fifth wheel. They are the authors of the website, rv-dreams.com where they educate new and seasoned RVers who want to adopt the full-time RVing lifestyle. They also host lively educational rallies, a popular blog and online forum where RVers share information.
The Paynes were very impressed with the steps Truma took with them and other RVers throughout the country to genuinely elicit feedback on the new product. As Howard put it, “Truma listens. They put this product out for tests and they’ve done a lot of follow-up. It’s nice to provide feedback and have somebody listen to our answers. Sometimes in the RV world, companies don’t always listen to the consumer.”
Truma said it genuinely benefited from the feedback received by their field test participants. “I was impressed by the amount of work Truma’s engineers did to integrate this feedback into additional product enhancements,” said Brenda Gaugler, Truma’s technical sales and service manager, responsible for supporting field test efforts.
