Bob Valvano, a noted motivational speaker and radio personality, will be the opening general session speaker at the 2006 RV Dealers International Convention/Expo featuring the RV Learning Center, running Sept. 26-29 at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.
Valvano hosts “The V Show” on ESPN radio and is on the board of the V Foundation – an organization that has raised more than $50 million for cancer research since 1993. He is the brother of the late Jim Valvano, the legendary North Carolina State University basketball coach who died of cancer.
According to RVDA, Valvano will “use his extensive experience in broadcasting, coaching, and community service to help motivate dealership employees to achieve personal and professional success.”
The convention will include workshops for management, sales, F&I, parts and accessories, service, and rental employees. In addition, manufacturers, suppliers, finance firms, and other service providers will have exhibits.
Preluding the meeting will be the 11th Annual RVDA Education Foundation Classic Golf Tournament on Sept. 25.
Dealership employees who register for the convention before July 31 receive special discounts of up to $423. For registration options, exhibitor information, and schedule updates, visit www.rvda.org, send an e-mail to [email protected], or call (703) 591-7130.
