Gary Bodily of Bodily RV Center, Idaho’s largest RV dealer, has opened a new store in Idaho Falls — its third store in the state – near I-15 and U.S. 20, a major western entry point to Yellowstone National Park from which he expects to attract plenty of transient service work.
The new retail outlet is operating from a temporary mobile office on an eight-acre site until the new 25,000-square-foot facility is completed in phases over the next two years, reports General Manager James Henrickson. The new building, when completed, will house eight service bays, a parts department and showroom. The first of eight service bays at the new store are now operational.
Bodily says the new store will mirror in appearance and product lines its hub store in Meridian, with Fleetwood, Four Winds and Forest River brands on the motorized side and Fleetwood, Gulf Stream and Forest River in towables.
Henrickson’s target for 2007 is to sell 500 new or used towables and around 100 to 150 new or used motohomes at the new store, which, incidentally, is located across the street from the state’s second largest RV dealer, Bish’s RV Super Center. “By the end of January we probably will have close to 300 units on the ground going into next year,” he said. “We don’t want to be a small player in this market.”
Bodily RV opened in September 1996 in Meridian with four employees and became Idaho’s largest RV dealership, moving in 2003 to a state-of-the-art, 42,000-square-foot store with nine service bays on a 15-acre site just off the freeway in Meridian. The third store is in Boise.
