Born Free Motorcoach Inc. will begin selling high-end towables built by New Horizons RV Corp. at its network of factory-owned stores as part of a “cooperative venture” between the two manufacturers.
According to a press release, Born Free factory-owned stores in Florida, California and Iowa will, by Feb. 1, begin selling all of New Horizons’ fifth-wheel, travel trailer and toy hauler lines. Born Free, based in Humboldt, Iowa, announced the opening of a factory store at New Horizon RV’s headquarters in Junction City, Kan., last December.
“We are extremely excited about the growth potential this venture may bring for both parties,” said Douglas Spencer, CEO of Born Free parent company Dodgen Industries Inc. “From the first meeting with the executive team of New Horizons, we were impressed with their integrity, quality of product and commitment to customer satisfaction.
“From time to time we have been approached by customers looking for high-end towable products, and the New Horizons product line is one we can proudly represent to complement our motorhomes.”
Phil Brokenicky, president of New Horizons RV noted: “Having the ability for our customer base to be able to see a New Horizons product without having to come all the way to Junction City, will be great for us. We have always had a large number of sales coming from the Florida and California markets, but knew that we were missing out on so many other opportunities.”
