Brown & Brown, which sells property and casualty insurance and employee benefits insurance to mid-sized and large corporations throughout the country, is adding to its staff.

The Columbia, Ky.-based company is currently seeking an automotive F&I sales producer to join its team. The position will be responsible for business development and revenue generation within the Pacific Northwest region.

Essential duties and functions:

— Seek out new clients and develop clientele by networking to find new customers and generate lists of prospective clients

— Explain features, advantages, and disadvantages of various products to promote sale of vehicle service plans

— Interview prospective clients to obtain data about their financial resources and needs, the physical condition of the person or property, and to discuss existing service plan coverage.

— Select company that offers type of coverage requested by client, and ensure that plan requirements are fulfilled, including completion of appropriate forms.

— Call on F&I Managers in RV and auto dealerships to explain plans, to analyze and suggest additions or changes to their selling technique. Explain necessary bookkeeping requirements for dealer to implement and provide program.

— Confer with clients to obtain and provide information when claims are made on a policy. Monitor insurance claims to ensure they are settled equitable for both the client and the insurer.

— Attend meetings, seminars, and programs to learn about new products and services, learn new skills, and receive technical assistance in developing new accounts.

— Attend trade shows to promote company and lines of business.

Required Skills

— Proficiency with Microsoft Office software

— Bachelors degree preferred

— Must have or be willing to obtain all necessary licensing as required by the State Department of Insurance

— Previous experience in RV or automotive dealerships a plus

— Requires frequent travel to client sites in Pacific Northwest Region
