According to a press release, the annual fundraising campaign for the RV Learning Center began at the 2014 RV Dealers International Convention/Expo. Annual gifts are necessary to maintain an adequate funding stream to provide affordable, high quality education for RV dealers and staff.
“Campers Inn CEO Jeff Hirsch and his management team know what it takes to be successful in this business – education,” said RV Learning Center Chairman Jeff Pastore of Hartville RV Center in Hartville, Ohio. “Donations from Campers Inn and our other regular donors help the Learning Center to stay on top of meeting dealers’ educational needs thanks to their reliable and generous support.”
Hirsch continues to serve the industry as the Recreation Vehicle Dealers Association’s (RVDA) immediate past chairman and also serves on the RV Learning Center board. New Hampshire-based Campers Inn was recently selected as one of the RVBusiness magazine’s Top 50 Dealers in North America and honored as the winner of the 2014 Innovation Award. The dealership group now consists of 10 locations throughout the Northeast and Southeast regions of the U.S.
“The Mike Molino RV Learning Center is a strategic alliance that develops the skill set of our dedicated employees,” Hirsch said. “Having served on the Learning Center board, my view was expanded as I saw a greater benefit than for just our company. As our industry matures, we must all further professionalize in order to better serve the needs of our customers, but also to be able to compete. The contributions all of us make to the Learning Center help professionalize the industry; they raise the bar. An educated industry represents a mature and profitable industry.”

The soon-to-be released 11th edition of The Service Management Guide was able to be developed thanks to funds raised for the Learning Center. In addition, donations to the RV Learning Center pay for programs including support for the Society of Certified RV Professionals, webinars on current topics, training and certification for dealership staff, essential publications and learning guides, and the convention/expo.
