Camping World has  announced its “Cash for Campers” program will now expand to include Class C motorhomes and fifth-wheel trailers.

The Lincolnshire, Ill-based company’s  “Cash for Campers” is aimed at current RV owners and mimics the auto industry’s recently expired “Cash for Clunkers” program. The program is focused on improving the quality of vehicles currently in circulation as well as stimulating the economy in heavy hit manufacturing states such as Iowa and Indiana.

“We were optimistic that RVers would respond positively to the program and the success has been overwhelming,” said Marcus Lemonis, Camping World chairman and CEO. “In a declining market, we’ve managed to outperform last year by more than 10% in new motorhome business. As a result, we’ve decided to expand the program into our Class C and fifth-wheell inventory from top manufacturers such as Keystone, Dutchmen, Jayco and Forest River.”
