A new Camping World store built alongside the Foley RV dealership in Burlington, Wash., held its grand opening Thursday (March 30).
According to Laif Hanson, general manager of the new 21,000-square-foot facility, the project represents a “joint venture” between Bowling Green, Ky.-based Camping World and FreedomRoads affiliate Foley RV.
“Foley’s showroom is in a separate building and their outside display area runs for about a quarter of a mile,” Hanson said. “The new building has a full display area for Camping World products, and also houses the combined 18-bay service center.”
Kelly Hawley, general manager of Foley RV noted: “Foley’s is a fixture in Burlington and the addition of Camping World reflects the fact that we are an even stronger, ongoing and growing business in the community.”
Several special events were planned for the grand opening, which runs through April 2, including a ribbon cutting held today.
“Thursday’s grand opening was great,” said Hanson, noting the store opened its doors late last year and held a soft opening in January. “We had around 500 people come through the door.”
With the Burlington facility, Camping World now operates 45 stores nationwide with six to eight new locations planned for 2006. Foley also operates a dealership in Marysville, Wash.
