RV retailer Camping World is adding two new locations as part of its national Gold Medal Dealer program, which partners the Bowling Green, Ky.-based company with prominent RV dealerships.
Holiday Kamper RV, a multilocation dealer in the Southeast, has begun construction on a Camping World RV accessories store at its Statesville, N.C. location. Camping World also will be opening a retail operation at Shipp’s RV Center in Chattanooga, Tenn. Both dealerships are affiliated with FreedomRoads LLC, a national dealer alliance.
Currently, there are seven Camping World stores at FreedomRoads dealerships across the country. According to a FreedomRoads press release, an additional eight will be opened at FreedomRoads locations in the next year.
Camping World also has several Gold Medal Dealer operations that are not associated with the FreedomRoads network.
The new Holiday Kamper store, scheduled to open in January of 2005, will connect with the dealership’s existing facility and cover some 10,000 square feet of retail space.
Kent Lester, owner of Holiday Kamper and Freedom Roads Southeast regional president, noted: “The ability for our customers to get a lot done in one place is a bonus for our customers because it saves them time and hassles. It’s good for us and it’s good for Camping World in every respect.”
The Shipp’s store will encompass 7,000 square feet and employ 25 workers, according to Camping World.
“We are proud to be recognized as a Gold Medal Dealer,” said Randy Shipp, president, Shipp’s RV Center. “Exceptional customer service is our top priority, and our alliance with Camping World will allow us to advance our efforts one step further.”
