Grand Opening celebrations took place last week in Clarksville, Ind., to recognize the alliance involving the Camping World aftermarket accessories store chain and Tom Stinnett RV Freedom Center, which is generally believed to be the largest RV dealership in the Louisville, Ky., metro area.
The grand opening activities took place from Thursday (June 10) through Sunday (June 13) at the Stinnett dealership, which is located across the Ohio River from downtown Louisville.
Dealership principal Tom Stinnett also is co-chairman of the Go RVing Coalition, the ad hoc group comprised of representatives of the RV manufacturer, supplier, retailer and campground communities, whose primary responsibilities are a national advertising campaign to promote the RV lifestyle and the Committee Excellence effort to raise consumer satisfaction levels.
The Stinnett dealership features a 113,000-square-foot indoor showroom for housing around 90 of the 300 RV units that its typically has in stock.
The Camping World store, which actually opened in mid-May, is located at the Stinnett dealership as part of Camping World’s Gold Medal Dealer program. The goal of the program is to create a one-stop shopping environment to benefit RV lifestyle enthusiasts.
Camping World, based in Bowling Green, Ky., has 36 locations nationwide and two service centers. It offers 8,000 products through its retail stores, mail-order catalog and online shopping network.
Camping World is a unit of Affinity Group Inc., as is TL Enterprises Inc., publisher of RV Business and RVBUSINESS.com.
