Camping World, the RV aftermarket accessories retailer, plans to open two more stores at RV dealerships in southern Indiana and in South Carolina, the Bowling Green, Ky. firm announced.
The store openings are part of Camping World’s Gold Medal Dealer Program.
Last month, a Camping World store opened, as part of the program, at the new Alpin Haus location near Amsterdam, N.Y., creating an all-inclusive, one-stop outlet for RV sales and service.
Another previously announced Camping World store will open in August or September at Hart City RV Supercenter in Elkhart, Ind.
And today (June 16), Camping World announced it will open stores at Tom Stinnett RV Freedom Center in Clarksville, Ind., near Louisville, Ky., and at Holiday Kamper and Boats in Spartanburg, S.C.
The Camping World at Stinnett RV will open in December or January. The Holiday Kamper Camping World store will open in August or September.
The opening of the Hart City, Tom Stinnett and Holiday Kamper locations will raise to 34 the total number of Camping World stores.
“Camping World is heading into a new era and the alliance with Alpin Haus represents an important step in our progress,” Camping World President Mark Gilman said. “The Gold Medal Dealer Program is a win-win situation for everybody. Dealerships benefit from increased traffic flow generated by Camping World while Camping World benefits through added exposure and additional points of distribution for our products and services.”
Alpin Haus built a 67,000-square-foot showroom along with 24 service bays near Exit 27 of the New York State Thruway (I-90) in Upstate New York. The Camping World store occupies 15,000 square feet of space at the location.
“Everything will be under one roof,” said Andy Heck, co-owner and general manager of Alpin Haus. ”It will be a great benefit to our customers, giving them access to a full range of products, amenities and services.”
Camping World is a unit of Affinity Group Inc., as is TL Enterprises Inc., publisher of RV Business and RVBUSINESS.COM.
