Kampgrounds of America Inc. (KOA) named the owners and management of the Toronto North/Cookstown KOA Campground, Ontario, Canada, as the 2006 KOA Franchisee of the Year.
According to a press release, owners Jeff and Cathy Stovold along with campground manager, Sandra Linkletter, were chosen from the nearly 450 campgrounds in the U.S. and Canada in Billings, Mont.-based KOA’s franchise network.
The honor was among several bestowed on Jeff Stovold during KOA’s Annual International Convention in Las Vegas, Nov. 13-18. He was selected by KOA CEO Jim Rogers to serve as master of ceremonies during the meeting while also being elected as president of the KOA Owners Association.
“It’s been quite a week,” Stovold said after his election.
KOA President Shane Ott said the Stovold family runs a great KOA campground, and have embraced KOA’s high standards for customer service and always supports their fellow owners.
“It’s just fantastic to be able to honor the Stovolds,” Ott said. “They are the best of the best in the camping industry.”
